You Can't Change What You Don't Acknowledge....

Day Two.

A couple of things I learned today: There are a lot of people out there who financially exploit their aging parents. As far as I am concerned, even '1' is too many that have been financially exploited! And, there is a special place in hell for people that do that.

Made carrot cake from scratch. Big sister, Trina and little sister, Sarah (both great cooks/bakers) are right: 'Rose, you have to follow the recipe'. I can hear them say. And, I can hear them say in a totally supportive way. 1/2 cup means... 1/2 cup. Not, 'oh, that LOOKS like about 1/2 cup'. And, it paid off. Everyone is snarfing up the cake.

Another thing I learned today: I really hate the racoon look of having one chunk of hair dyed black, then, the next chunk, blond, and over and over and over. I really dislike that.

I should have cleaned the house tonight as we have a showing tomorrow. Instead, I went to the support group meeting for loved ones who have lost someone to suicide. I arrived at the meeting with a blaring headache, and left with a full heart.

I'm tired and going to bed.
