Frozen Trees

Driving to work today, I admired the trees coated with ice. Amazingly beautiful, and I suppose, dangerous. Aren't most things in life that are THAT beautiful, also dangerous? I guess there are two ways of looking at things: see the beauty or see the danger. As much as weather scares us, with its unpredictable nature, I love it. It centers me. Something much bigger than an ATM or Ipod or satellite is running the show. No matter what we 'create' nothing will be as mysteriously beautiful as a tree coated with ice, with a grey December sky as its backdrop.

I'm still recovering from a most interesting dream. I dreamt that I got married, to a man with a moustache. I took his arm, and then his hand and we walked down a long long lovely path. We exchanged vows, both laughing at our fortune of finding one another. I then wanted to consummate the union, but was called upon by my ailing mother at the hospital. And, in her hospital room, all of her jewelry had fallen on the floor and was all over the place. Before anything could 'happen', I had to clean up the mess.

Before anything can 'happen', I have to clean up the mess.....

It's time to clean up the mess. The reason my daughter leans on others is because they are there. Time to be there for her. It's that simple. And, it's also that complicated. But, at least I figured it out.

Back to work. Just had to get this off my chest. A guy with a moustache? I find that promising.
