It is official: the nice person that made an offer on my house is really, truly going to buy it, despite the rotting wood here and there and the remnants of some leaks in the bathrooms. I literally got no sleep last night, trying to diagram in my head what my next step would be if this deal went to hell... I think eventually, once I was picturing packing my bags and walking away from the house, letting it go into foreclosure, I finally fell asleep.
Oh, what a huge weight has been lifted. Like a very very big ass weight.
So now, I kinda need to find us a place to live. It's funny but the requirements aren't the same as they were 11 years ago. I don't need to make a statement about who we aren't. I am what I am. I wanna live within my means. Things are in focus.
So, the fun part now is to get rid of as much stuff as possible. I am tired of the awful furniture and knicky knacks that I have been collecting over the years. They are all prime inventory for a garage sale.
This is exciting. I am excited. I am relieved.
